Lift&slide door with additional highlight window – Internal view
Some designs benefit from very high windows > 2500mm in height. This presents a challenge in the logistical part of the window supply. A shipping container can take a maximum of 2500mm high windows and doors. Anything higher than that has to be either turned on its side, shipped in separate parts or shipped in an open-top container. Open-top containers are very expensive and there is a heightened risk of damages to the windows.
The lift&slide door and fixed windows in this project are 3300mm tall. They were shipped in parts. The lift&slide door is 2450mm tall, which is still a very good height and the highlight was added on site. The fixed windows around the corner were designed so that they can be turned on their side to fit through the container door and were then assembled on site.

Extremely high entry door combination
This entry door combination is 4100mm high. Again assembled on site with separate units that can be safely shipped and handled on site.
Externally opening back door
Tilt&turn windows and doors are not designed to be externally opening. The tilt-function would work like a funnel catching rain to enter the house.
However it is possible to have externally opening doors. In this situation the door had to open outward as the design did not easily allow an inward opening door.
